It had been a very long week. I had been at the office working long hours for the last few weeks finishing up a big project. It was finally Friday. All I could think about was getting off of work and having a nice strong drink and just relaxing. I looked at the clock and saw 7 PM.
“Alright, time to call it a day” I say to myself. Gathering my things off my desk and getting ready to head home. I pick up my phone off the desk and see a text from my wife. “Hey baby, I’m going to my sisters for the weekend to help setup for a work party she is having at her house. I will be back Monday. Love you! Have fun this weekend and relax! “ I read this text and think to myself “oh great now I have an empty house to go home to”.
That’s when the idea came to me. I had seen a sign for a new bar opening up on my way home all week. I get down to my car and start the drive back to my house. When I see the sign I put my blinker on and pull into the crowded parking lot.
As I walk in the door I see a crowd of people sitting at tables and standing around. I see one last open stool at the bar…..
