Really bad stuttering all of a sudden?

Been playing with no issues for weeks, but when I went to hop on last night I ran into some serious stuttering issues. It was completely unplayed. It's be fine for a few seconds, and then huge stuttering issues. Tried changing graphics settings and googling it, and even rolling back GPU drivers but nothing fixed it. What's going on?

Edit: no idea why, but after updating my GPU drivers back to current version and then seeing steam updating wrc (was it a real update or shader stuff from the driver update?) and now game is working perfectly again.
