Fleet vs. Army

Quick question. If I have a fleet in Brest and a friendly army in Marseilles and I want to take Gascony, which has an army, what happens if I do fleet at Brest takes Gascony with Marseilles supporting? If the army at Gascony attempts to move into Brest it fails, right? I know this is true of armies but wanted to confirm for fleets.
