As I write this, we're only five users from 7000 (!). You guys are great. Loving to see all of the discussion that takes place here.

Something (not sure what) also seems to have inspired a very odd series of harassing posts to the sub. These posts included threats of creating duplicate accounts to circumvent bans.

I really have no idea what inspired this, but I'm pretty much the active mod in this sub, and I am only on Reddit a couple times of day at most, so if something like this actually happens, I'm not equipped to handle it on my own.

If anyone else would like to volunteer to help out with moderation, I'd appreciate it.

In general I try to keep the moderation simple: If the post fits the description in the side panel, and no one has posted about that topic in two weeks, it's OK by moderation standards.

Sometimes I don't actually like the content, and may (as a user of the sub) downvote it, but I won't ban something just because it's not exactly what I love, and I'd expect other moderators to follow a similar "mostly hands off" policy.

Completely off topic posts that don't appear to be accidental get an insta-ban. No reason to offer spammers a second chance.
