Best towns to stay for hiking in early November on Lake Como or Garda?

Post Body

Hi all! I'm planning a 3 night stay on Lake Como at the end of my month long solo digital nomad trip in Europe. I'll be taking time off work. I won't have a car, and am trying to decide which town to stay. I love hiking and being active, so a town with easy access to bike and hiking trails is ideal.

Originally I was going to go to Lake Garda, but the transportation doesn't seem as good after Nov 2 (when ferries stop - seems like there's not yet a path around the lake either?) The towns I was considering there were Malcesine and Sirmione.

Lake Como I'm thinking Menaggio or Varenna, but would love to hear your suggestions :)

Thanks in advance!
