I wanted to post somewhere where I felt people might understand and can maybe pep talk me so bear with me haha.
Iāve spent the last year getting myself square to be able to travel full time while working. After some test runs during the summer and early fall, I decided Iām ready. In December, I depart for Central America where Iāll then start working my way south. I am going with a friend Iāve traveled with once previously for about 2 weeks.
I am feeling terrified. How do you just jump in with both feet? How are you not worried all the time? Do you guys feel scared or worried? I have a lot of āwhat ifsā. I know that if I go, once Iām there, Iāll be fine and Iāll adjust but the build up has really caused my anxiety to go up. Did anyone else experience something like this when they first started on this path? How did you overcome it?
Iāve brought it up to my friends but they just donāt really understand and my family just thinks I shouldnāt be doing it, so Iām just stewing under the surface constantly because I have no one to talk to.
