I'm very fortunate in that I have a remote job here in Canada working for a US company that is totally fine with us working from anywhere in the world so long as we get the work done.
I am planning on moving to Europe (France or Germany, few variables up in the air) next year. Just to plot scenarios, I would like to know the feasibility of obtaining another fully remote job (from a Canadian or US company) while based in Europe. This is in case something happens to my current role.
Is this a rare thing to pull off and would most companies simply prioritize someone who is still living in Canada/US? Perhaps for tax purposes? I'm wondering if anyone has successfully gone about this.
For context, I have worked a variety of writing and editing jobs - copywriting, instructional text, academic copyediting, content writing, etc.
