Hey Canadian citizen here - Remote job (canada wide)

My company has a remote abroad policy that enables 30 days outside country of employment.

However due to personal circumstances(health and other reasons) , I ended up staying/working more than 180 days in India (without my company being aware) for this year. To be honest, I wasn't aware of the rules behind tax resident etc , but I just ended up staying for more than 180 days in India for financial year 23-24. Note that this period isn't continuous and some of the days were under vacation/medical leave.

I'm paying taxes in Canada as usual.

I think India's financial year starts April 01 2023-March 31st 2024. So If I file taxes in India now, will my employer get notified?

How likely is that Indian tax authorities to come after me/my employer?

Should I just quit my company before they have a chance to find out?

Please suggest what's best for me in this situation.

Thanks
