But we have developers who work in India who work their time. My issue is I never told my company I left Canada we don’t use any location trackers but still I’m just scared if they find out do you think I would get fired. Or could I bring up they have Indian workers working remote why can’t I argument need some insight here?

Hi; Canadian citizen here as well -

So I'm concerned about my situation - can you please suggest the best course of action?
What if you have spent more than 180 days in a single country?

Let's say for example - in India I spend more than 180 days in a financial year. I'm continuing to pay taxes in Canada as usual. But I'm worried of the fact that I spent more than 180 days in India(in the past year).

if I file taxes in India now - would my employer know about it? Will the IT department in India go after me and my employer?
