Looking for city reccomendations in Brazil

Does anyone have any good reccomendations for cities to live in Brazil for a digital nomad? I love the country and especially the people, but I've been in São Paulo for the past couple of months and I must admit I'm not the biggest fan of these big cities. It's also quite expensive, so I'm not a fan of that either.

I'm a pretty chill guy whose daily schedule consists of work, gym and lots of learning so I spend a lot of time at home and I like to cook a lot. I'm not much of a party go-er but I do like to socialize, and finding a nice Brazilian girl to fall in love with wouldn't hurt my (so far quite difficult) Portuguese learning journey either.

I'll be renting off Airbnb, entire 1BR to myself. I don't like hostels I'm a 22YO Canadian btw!

Here are the main things I'm taking into consideration:

-walkable as I won't be renting a vehicle

-low cost of living. I'd like to be able to live in the downtown or "happening" part of a city for as cheap as possible as I'm trying to save up currently

-population of 2million or less - preferably sub 1mil

-safety is important to me

-coastal / beach would be nice but not 100% necessary. If it dosent have beaches, then I'd like it to have another cool geographic feature like mountains or cool nature

-good internet as I sometimes need to download large files for work, but so far the internet has been great everywhere here

-nice gyms (smartfit preferred as I have a membership already!)

-coworking space as I don't like working from the same location I'm living in, and going to cafes to work all the time can be costly and also makes me feel a bit odd

-airport within 1.5hr drive

-weather dosent matter too much to me with the exception of extreme heat

-cheap!

I spent a while in Oaxaca city, Mexico (700k population) and I was a huge fan so if I could find a place like Oaxaca beach here in Brazil, that'd be ideal.

I spent a week in Rio and I was not a big fan at all. Did a month in Mexico City and I liked it but not as much as Oaxaca, Mexico.

Currently considering: Florianopolis (highly reccomended from a fellow DN, and currently leaning towards this one) Vitoria Recife Belo Horizonte

Any cities I should add to the list based on my criteria? Also, which one of the cities I have listed above best fit my criteria?

Muito obrigado:)

Camboriú. Check out the amusement park while you are at it, if you like those things
