It's Enough...
Post Body

I had a unique experience the other day. Hear me out:

I have a car key that is encased in a large piece of plastic. The little plastic hoop where the key ring slips through broke off, leaving just the key in a blob of plastic and nothing to hook around my key chain. I called some hardware stores since I assumed I needed a belt sander to round out the edges, and a drill press to drill a new hole in the key. No hardware store wanted to do it for fear that they might drill through the "chip" in my car key. Fair enough. So, I went outside and got my hands dirty...

I couldn't find a metal file in the garage, so I just took to the cement. I was like "Fuck this..." And oh, my goodness - It's been FOREVER since I actually did ANYTHING with my hands. Like, literally ALL I've done in the past however many years is go to work and then come home and get on the computer; I haven't dug a hole in the ground, I haven't potted a flower, I haven't filled a birdfeeder, I haven't gone swimming, I haven't painted a wall or cut a piece of drywall. We're just... not living in the real world anymore...

I successfully ground down the jagged corners of the plastic thing and drilled a hole through it. Took about 5 minutes total. The key is now solidly attached to my key chain. I deleted the few apps I had on my phone and now I can only fuck around with them on laptop. It's still not where I want to be, but it's closer. Next is reducing the time I spend on this stupid thing (Reddit).

Cheers. Get out there and do something. It's enough.
