Now that Millenniummon, who was previously the most powerful enemy the kids defeated, is (assumingly) out of the picture, the DigiDestined have to unlock all the remaining Mega form (Rosemon/HerculesKabuterimon/Vikemon/Seraphimon/Ophanimon/CresGarurumon/Omnimon Alter S), which is going to take priority for several episodes. The main question is, when they're going to confront the final antagonist, what will be the antagonist connection to all the previous enemies, and what is the antagonist's motivation for destroying the Digital World & Real World this time against the heroes? For comparison:
- Apocalymon - Rage against the Digital World for rejecting him and not being able to live in the light like the other Digimons
- Myotismon/Lucemon - Believe that they're destined to rule over both worlds
- D-Reaper/Leviathan - A.I. that gain sentience and target the humanity that created them
- Yggdrasil - Upholding the order of the Digital World
- Bagramon - Rebellion against the creator of the Digital World
Also, how do you think the ending will play out? Between the Digimons separate from their partners once their duty of saving both worlds is done, or will they defy that and go to live with the DigiDestined in the Real World with them?
Additionally, assuming that Toei has greenlighted season 2, how the show will deal with the Digimon partners' power level (Mega x8) and the difficulty/challenge against the antagonists from now on? What can the writers explore for the next 50/60 episodes?
