3 years and 6 movies that roughly equal to 26 episodes, and yet there're many mysteries that still linger.

When will the story take place?

Tai is 17 as of Tri and Davis is 14/15. Joe had already crossed into "adult age" and so will Tai, Matt, and Sora, meaning that anything more than 1 year timeskip would have to incorpate the four becoming adults in the story.

• So, perhaps it's almost the time for Tai and Davis to get some haircut?
• If 02 team is now the main focus, Davis and Ken will probably get new male VAs (Japanese) since they're 14/15. Cody is still 11/12 though.

Bridging between Tri and "4"

• In story. Why did the four of them go to the Digital World by themself without TK or Kari? This becomes a bit more confusing since 02 team had trouble fighting Mega Level Digimons in the past for that they only have 1 Mega and 2 Ultimates, and post their first battle with BlackWargreymon they decided to make sure everyone was there before engaging against the enemy.

Meiko & Meicoomon's future roles

Unless the two are going to be involved with the story again, their roles are going to be reduced (greatly), even if Meiko did become Tai's love interest. They took 6 movies to introduce her to Adventure-verse, so they may still keep her in but still..

Yggdrasil = Decoy antagonist?

Many of the antagonists had to be faced directly by the protagonist before they're defeated. Meanwhile, this Yggdrasil made no appearance at all and was shutdown offscreen by Homeostatis. Unbelievable, huh?

Multiple sides of conflict

Past series at least make the antagonist structure/team clear, but this one has so many teams (and each member has their own agenda) that, strictly speaking, not possible for 8 DigiDestined/Digimon partners to stop. Only Ordinemon and Yggdrasil were stopped in Tri (the latter offscreen), while the rest are still active, meaning that the DigiDestined's duty isn't over yet.

What does Dark Gennai need from Daemon and Diaboromon?

Both are powerful Digimon in their own right, but what does he need from them? Daemon has the power to open the gate between the Real World and Digital World, while Diaboromon can quickly Digivolve and is capable of resurrecting himself, but those aren't likely as powerful as the data from Apocalypsemon/ Ordinemon he gathered.

50 something episodes or series of movies again?

To wait 3 years for 20-ish episodes is too much.
