Keep getting disconnected from server.

I play on ps4 and so do my partners and we keep getting kicked from the servers randomly. Everything will stop moving like it's lagging then completely disconnects after a minute or 2. It is not my internet and I know it isn't, and has happened since day of launch. Is it because I am playing on old generation? Can anyone help?
