Making a lightning sorc

I am not trying to min/max. Not trying to own the meta. Don't care if the character won't make it to end game. I wanna enjoy the game. It's not a job

I am aiming for a gameplay feeling. I wanna feel like I'm just exploding lightning turret.
I wanna feel like Kira from Hunter x Hunter
Like Kakashi weilding a raikiri

(Basic attack is Fire Bolt

(Yes, I'm a weeb. Couldn't you guess from my name?! Now, can we focus)

Anyway, the playstyle is currently

1. Teleport in for DR
2. Cast Flame shield for DR and Mana reduction
3. Try to trigger Ball Lightning Enhancement from Lucky hit
   1. If that fails, cast it myself
4. Pick up crackling energy
5. MOAR LIGHTNING!

Any advice on maximizing that experience? Aspects to aim for? skill set refinement or better ways to achieve that feeling would be appreciated
