This is seriously my most cherished franchise ever. I know there are probably a hundred posts like this a day in this sub. I just have so many amazing memories of this franchise that I literally go out of my way to play it every single summer at least.

So my drunken question is, Is there any sign at all that Blizzard is going to continue this franchise into the future? This game is absolutely clearly in maintenance mode. New seasons are a complete joke. They have the money and they have the resources to be releasing new classes or new followers or new follower specific quests and bosses and just so so so so SOSOSOSOSOSO much content but they just dont. They just do a season at a time and everyone hates that.

As the weather for me is starting to get super nice again I long for the nights of staying up until 5 or 6 or 7 am with my windows open doing one more run not only in the search of new loot but just because the game had this amazingly beautiful dark atmosphere that just sucked me in and made me feel like a part of sanctuary.

It is so obvious that they stopped caring about Diablo because it could not be sold as an Esport. That literally just breaks my goddamn heart. They have so many people investing their lives into this franchise that they continue to support the D2 servers. They know they have the following and they know that so many people love these games yet they just sit back throwing millions at Overwatch and WoW and even Starcraft. They remastered Starcraft....Would it fucking kill them to remaster D2 and LoD????

So again I drunkenly ask and plea and cry out... Is there any sign that this amazing world of lore and love and characters and absolutely everything amazingly beautiful about DIABLOOOOOOO has any sort of future other than just season after season of the same old shit over and over and over again. Will I ever feel the call of the darkness to pull me into this amazing world like it used to?

Since I have to specify, I play NA and even though I am extraordinarily disappointed with the game at this point and craving so excruciatingly bad for more content, I still play this game. They literally have had the necromancer on the splash screen for this game for almost a year. Nothing has happened of significance since then and it just hurts so bad to never ever see them come out with new content. Not challenge rifts, not new seasonal sets. Actual genuine story driven content.
