My first post here. TBH I’m just bad at taking care of myself but I’m officially at ** 10.2 ** for my A1C prick- my first Type 2 diagnosis was probably around 2018? I am glad I did it (was in for something else with my PCP) but now I’m feeling guilty for being such an assuming adult. Anyway! My diabetic vision test the other day was good. I just… I just need to start over, one thing at a time, and need to know I’m not alone b/c I’m the only one in my family this messed up, health wise (I have other medical and mental health issues too, the latter of which stems much of my life’s poor choices). I’ve always been hard on myself, but I want to get my life back in control.
I know I’ll be ok. I’m just on a very rocky journey now. I think my PCP is going to refer to me to endocrinology (sigh) I’m so fucking tired of SO many appointments and trying to live a “normal” 9-5 life, you know? My life platter is so damn full (also my med list is kind of impressive). Anyway, thank you for this space. I am going to start journaling and planning how to get my life back on track (my lowest was like 6.9 back in Nov 2020).
Any legit sites and tools you recommend to help one take control of this madness while having ADHD (aka my butterfly brain) at almost 41 years old? TIA, it means a lot to me.
