I am currently debating this with my doctor (primary care as Iโm on a waiting list for endocrinology). Recently I have needed a ton more insulin and itโs not working as it used to in either amount or timing. I use pens (thanks insurance) and have always used Novolog for short acting (Lantus for long acting). We recently added in Ozempic to try to address any insulin resistance, especially as I have PCOS as well. So far I hate it, but we will see. Iโm trying to request that he get a different type of shot or even long acting insulin covered to try but he is insisting they are all identical. I swear they differ in speed and in how you individually react to them. Is he right or am I?
