second honeymoon phase?
Post Body

i was diagnosed in September 2019 at the age of 14. a month later i had my honeymoon phase which lasted for about two months. my sugar levels started rising and i had to get back on insulin. then, in april 2020, there was a 10 day phase where i went without a single unit of insulin with perfect blood sugar levels. my family was surprised, and told my doctor about this. he classified my condition to be "responsive type 1 diabetes", whatever that means. after that phase, i obviously had to start insulin therapy again, and have been requiring it everyday, ever since. during that 10 day phase, i was eating almost zero carbs, and small meals, with a lot of cardio. however, we all know that despite of following that routine, any type 1 diabetic would still need insulin. but, i did not require a single unit, of either bolus or basal. absolutely nothing. i'm wondering how the hell that happened, and if it's normal to have what seems like TWO honeymoon phases. could there be more in the future??
