So my levels were going low at night, and I decided to have a small can of coke. They were still not rising, so I decided to drink a protein shake. I didn't fucking realise that the coke and milk would react in my stomach, especially since I drank both in the span of like 20 minutes. I started feeling nauseous and sick, but brushed it off and went to sleep.
An hour later I woke up due to the discomfort, and before I knew, I threw up a shit ton. I thought I'd feel relieved after that, but I spent the whole day suffering with stomach discomfort, diarrhea, and more vomiting. Even felt extremely dizzy and almost blacked out after throwing up one of the times. It sucked ass.
The nausea persisted for hours, and I was unable to digest ginger tea or even plain water, and kept throwing it all up.
I'm feeling better now, but still dehydrated and weak, so I'm trying to replenish all my lost fluids and electrolytes. Thankfully my sugar levels haven't been affected much by this catastrophe, and have been fairly easy to control.
Moral of the story- Never drink coke and milk at the same time. EVER.
