Metformin and... movements

Okay, sorry for the grossness of this question, but I take metformin as a type 1 since it has other benefits, for heart, etc. Anyone know a way that you can counteract the fact it moves your bowels? I just would like to take it when I take it and not have to worry (if I am going to work) about having to go to the bathroom.
