Had a very shitty and unlucky thing happen to me last night:
Took my insulin dose for dinner as usual, I did kind of guess the dose but it was only 5 units total, I use an INPen so I have the records.
I noticed my BG starting to drop and began having some glucose tabs to try and stop it before it went below 80, but it didn’t seem like it was working that fast. I began to get ready to sleep and figured it would raise soon enough.
Then the food poisoning began, really awful can’t keep down any of my globose tabs, or even water or juice for like 2 hours, where I stayed at 60 for that time. My BF luckily went and got me some sprite which eventually helped me, but I’m wondering if I should have done my nasal glucagon in that situation? I’ll obviously ask my doctor when I see them next but just wondering if anyone has experienced this.
