BS still on the rise after insulin?

I am currently on a road trip, and some background I had a chicken sandwich (47g carbs) and a diet soda. I have myself 3units for the 47g and none for the soda as it was 1g. This was like 30 min ago and my BS is spiking like 200 and I don’t know why. Could it be the pen or something else? Sorry if this is a stupid question I’m still new to the T1D life 😅
