So my doctor just told me I'm borderline pre diabetic. I'm f30, weigh 212 lbs at 5ft3. My lil brother, my dad, and both of my dad's parents all have diabetes as well. I knew it would happen eventually. Doctor is looking into weight loss medication to help me as I've been struggling with my weight. What foods do you suggest I avoid and foods I should incorporate into my diet to help maintain and not push myself closer to it sooner?
High protein, low carb. Lots of water and fiber.
Borderline prediabetes? Your A1C is 5.5 or so? Never heard that term.

I was just wondering. You caught it pretty early so you have a great chance of avoiding diabetes, at least for now.
I ignored mine and my A1C was over 11! Don't be like me!
