Just got Diabetes. Question about blurry near vision

So I'm part of the club now. I just got diagnosed last week. I had the symptoms but the eyesight worries me.
Just checking my phone it's blurry. I have to move the phone away from what normal distance is.
To those that got this when first diagnosed. How long did it take you for your eyesight to go back to normal?
