Post Body

I was diagnosed as a type 2 diabetic about 6 weeks ago. I’m on ozempic .5mg/week and 31 units of Lantus a day, taking both at about 830am. I am a man and weigh about 280 lbs, 6’0” tall, roughly 38%body fat according to my scale/other ways of calculating I’ve found online.

I’m using a Libre 3 CGM, and doing finger sticks often, I’m a data driven type of person.

Immediately after a meal, how high can/should my blood sugar get? I’ve read over and over that it should be under 180 two hours after a meal, but what if it spikes to 250 45 minutes after a meal?

Also, if anyone has a way to calibrate a Libre 3 to actual blood sugar readings using IOS, please let me know. My CGM has been reading g 30-40 points low at times, and I’m worried about the urgent low blood sugar alarm waking my wife and kids. Every time it’s gone off my blood sugar was at least in the 90’s via finger stick.
