I've been taking Metformin (2000mg) for more than a year but my sugar had always been 160 - 300. Recently, my doctor started increasing my insulin (to 36 from 32 units) and replaced Metformin with Velmetia. It drastically improved my sugar level, actually, it normalized it.
Just wondering, for those who have taken the same medication, how are you guys? My doctor said it's completely safe but the fact that it was given to me after seeing that metformin didn't work kinda worries me - like, what will happen to my kidneys lol.
I'm doing workouts and diet on the side too but I know it's the medication that really made my sugar better. Thank you!
