Put on new sensor and transmitter, didn't realize old transmitter still active

So I'm brand new to the Dexcom G6 system and I had bought the starter kit. Finished up and loved it so I hopped on the subscription.
Just put my new sensor and transmitter on but now I realize the Dexcom app still has the old transmitter info in it. Clicking Pair New says it'll stop my sensor and be unuseable.
So... Did I fuck everything up?
