Going to have to remove my sensor for a medical procedure - how to get a replacement

Post Body

I'm going in for a CT-SCAN tomorrow. Unfortunately the area they are going to be looking at is directly under where I currently have my G6 Sensor. Only 5 days on this one but I'm sure it will have to be removed.

How do I convince the insurance company or dexcom that I need a replacement?

UPDATE: Called Dexcom and explained exactly what happened (The truth... no made up stories) and they are shipping me a replacement sensor. Thats good customer service. It wasn't their fault that the sensor had to be removed.
