My face does look pretty feminine. I have small and youthful features. But eversince being on T for 2 years, instead of looking like a young youthful girl, I look like a youthful feminine teenage boy in the face, even though my facial features aren’t even really different. My jaw and eyes are basically the same. My face just has a masculine look despite having feminine facial features.

I have been off T for half a year. 6 months.

I don’t know why my face has a boyish look but it’s frustrating because when I wear makeup I just look like a feminine boy wearing makeup. I have always looked very young for my age, so when I was 19 (when I started hormones) people thought I was a 14-15 year old girl. When I was a trans man, people thought I was a 17-18 year old guy. Now that I have detransitioned, people think I am a 13-14 year old boy, or a weird uncanny woman that looks like a little boy.

Other factors that add to me looking like a little boy:

• I naturally have essentially a flat chest (size AA)

• small Adam’s apple

-I’m skinny so my figure looks like a young boy

-my short hair that I’m growing out. And no I don’t feel comfortable wearing a wig.

At my job (I’m currently not working there rn), people often ask me if I’m supposed to be here and ask who I am, because my job is pretty dangerous and they always think I’m just random random young boy. When I tell them no, I’m here to do a job, they always get confused and ask how old I am.

People still gender me male even with makeup on. They literally just think I’m a little boy with makeup on. It’s very frustrating and bizarre. For the record, I’m a 21 year old woman, soon 22.

Voice doesn’t help. I can make a feminine voice but people still gender me male with the feminine voice.
