Eager edge is probably my favorite perk added to this game, and I'm sure a lot of people agree with me. Launching yourself at unprecedented speeds to either comically slam into a wall or cross a large gap with style is incredibly entertaining. However, there are a lot of LFGs that I've been a part of where a couple people with swords ruined an entire raid for everyone else. Yes, you could just kick those players, but that's not fun for anyone involved. I decided to type up some quick etiquette that should be followed so that you can skate without tripping on anyone else's experience.
Honestly, the most important thing is to know how someone in your fireteam will react. The speed used can break collision and skip raid/dungeon encounters, but in doing so it can also cause problems. If you use eager edge to clip through a wall and skip a raid mechanic, that might be fun for you, but what if someone actually really enjoys that raid or even that particular mechanic? You just stripped away their fun just so you could break the game to your will. Before you do any kind of skip or speed run strat, make sure everyone is OK with it before going on, or even put into the LFG message that you'll be doing skips/clips. I would guess a good majority of people would allow it. Sometimes you do just want to get this DSC run over with. But a good portion of LFGs is people who want to do the raid because they enjoy it.
Kind of going along with that, slamming someone into a wall and killing them can get a good laugh, especially if you've been joking around. But as with most jokes, it's much less funny the second time. Doing it repeatedly is definitely griefing and could probably even be considered as harassment. So watch your comedic timing please.
Please responsibly use this perk. Bungie would definitely be more inclined to add awesome perks like this into the game if they know that it won't ruin anyone's experience, and being able to use this perk responsibly will definitely also keep new lights coming in and expanding this ever growing game.
