Does D2 have SBMM?

Every time I have a good crucible game or 2 I always get put into a game in progress against a 6 stack and all their names are “vexohh” “Ahamrah” “Mixahh” or some other bungie name that is short and cant be pronounced. Then I have to sweat for all day because my quick-play matches turn into scrims.
