Help with allowing the game to run smoothly

Coming back to d2 after a 1.5 year hiatus. trying on a new system as im coming from playstation to pc given everything is on sale with humble bundle.

Upon trying to get the game to run, i notice performance is less than stellar with massive lag and input delay. I am wondering how to fix this as my laptop should be strong enough to run. Is there any way to transfer more vRAM to the game to fix this?

Specs of my laptop are as follows:

Into evo core 17

Intel Iris XE Graphics

16 gb RAM

Biggest problem is the game shows it requires over 1100 mb of vRAM and my game only has 128 mb allocated to it. Reading system information, it says i have 5.36 gb of vRAM available to go
