Slight rant about quest format changing

I am on the autism spectrum, and every time menus etc change it takes days to weeks to be able to use them.
My eyes slide right over the new main quest menu. it's so foreign that my brain just doesn't acknowledge it.
I wish there was a way to choise what format you like. Much less involved ganes have this feature. Hell, games from a decade ago have it.
I honestly can't figure why something not broken, like this, gets "fixed" but other inportanter things don't.
Does anybody else have a similar issue?
