For the long term players; I hope there's consensus on the fact that since Destiny has started focusing on smaller scale stories. It is so much more engaging.
- Crow's atonement
- Osiris' trauma
- Caital's parental abuse
- Calus's petulence
- Nimbus' growth
I care so much more about these small scale stories. Than "Gain the light. Stop the darkness". I care more about saving the world now that I care about the people in it. I have way more nuanced opinions about the character's now.
And games of "F**k, Marry, Kill" bewteen Zavala, Mara & Saint turn into heated debates. And that's actually a pretty good metric of how good your character writing is
