should I try new medication?
Post Body

Hey everyone this is my first time posting here. As the title suggests I'm debating whether I should try new medication. I've been treated for about 7 years now and in that time I've tried 7 or 8 medications. I know that's probably not enough, but it's still frustrating as I've had no relief if my symptoms from any of the medications I've tried. Honestly all of them have made me feel worse in some way. Usually no energy no motivation and more severe anhedonia. Some of them have made me more suicidal and worsened my anxiety quite drastically. My doctor said that I've pretty much tried all of the typical ones and what I have left are essentially the same medications I've tried, but with small tweaks, so they probably won't work. There are others that I can try, but of the more mainstream ones it seems I'm pretty much done from what he's told me.

To the people that have tried ones with more serious side effects, was it worth it? I feel so terrible when I'm on anti depressants. At least when I'm not on them I can get things done. I seriously don't know what to do. 8 know all you Can do is offer advice and anecdotal evidence, but it would be appreciated.

Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance
