Post Body

I’m seeking any guidance on how I can best support my partner. She works on matters that sometimes involve intense and graphic crimes. Sometimes these are sexual abuse matters but a recent one she has explained to me is about the death of a young person.

I don’t want to share any personal details. She also doesn’t share any details of the matters she’s looking at. But she does share with me that she is reading about these matters and that they bother her. She also can appear very affected by these things.

My question: My concern has peaked as she appears more bothered by the most recent matter as she seems to really be struggling with reading about it. It involves death.

She had a partner in the last 10 years who suicided. And this is something she still works through. My question is as phrased above, are there any resources or tips that I can follow to engage with and support her?
