When I think about my past I'm thankful. Every decision I made, right or wrong, led me to where I am today. "If I knew then what I know now I would be a better person today. I'd be a better son, a better brother, a better husband, a better father and a better friend." It's easy to convince myself that this statement is true. But when I get into my thoughts, just like we all do every now and then, I realize that this person staring at me in the mirror was shaped from the decisions I made, right or wrong. I am who I am today only because I didn't know then what I know now. That being said, I will be a better person tomorrow because I don't know now what I will know tomorrow. I will no longer beat myself up over what I should've, could've, would've done. The reflection on the mirror is better than they were yesterday. And tomorrow I will be better than I am today.
