Finding it hard to navigate the fog

I can recognize cognitive distortions in my thinking, but I feel so empty and it hasn't got better for more than two years. I don't have any friends that I feel close to. I don't really feel comfortable talking about things with them because I find them judgmental and close-minded. I am waiting for next year so that perhaps when I enter university I'll be able to make new friends that I feel at home with, but I don't want to have any expectations because if it doesn't happen it'll be so disappointing.
