I’m diagnosed with bipolar 2, ADD and general anxiety. Life has been really rough for the past year. I’m 21 and live with my mother still. I’m from NJ where thats arguably normal because of how expensive it is to live here. My mother is diagnosed with depression. She does not have a job and I just quit my job during a possible manic episode and recently went into an outpatient facility for mental health. We are poor. We rarely have food in the apartment, and while my mother doesn’t talk about it much, we are most likely in debt because she’s been asking me for money to pay the rent. I’m more than happy to help, and I’d much rather help than be a freeloader. It’s just now I don’t have a job, and I can’t stand my career choice anymore. I don’t know what we will do. It’s 3:07am. I was so hungry. I haven’t eaten anything today (or technically yesterday). We have no food but I was able to find some cheese to make a grilled cheese. I have an issue with dairy because anytime I consume it, I have to use the bathroom a lot. But when you get this hungry it doesn’t matter. I’m 6’4 and I have a wide frame. My point is I need some more food than your average person per day. Just when I gave up hope and accepted that this is how it is, and I will be starving and distracted during group therapy tomorrow, I found a packet of ramen noodles in the pantry. The utter joy it gave me was incredible. I cooked it up with some eggs and ate both that and the grilled cheese. I don’t know when my next meal will be. Afterwords I sat and thought about how this is my life now. And I don’t know where it will lead me, or where I will lead it
