How do you all deal with work when you haven’t even been able to really get out of bed or put on clothes for days? I’m working from home right now due to physical health reasons but also mental (though boss doesn’t know I’m severely depressed again so doesn’t know it’s not just physical). It’s still hard to just walk 30 seconds to my office room and work. I can’t focus for more than five minutes on what I’m doing. Last time my depression got bad, when I returned from my psych ward stay, I was told I almost had to be written up due to small and big mistakes adding up. I feel like even though I like my boss that I’m being targeted over my depression. Everyone thinks it just makes you sad, no, it makes you fucking stupid too. It literally fucks up your brain functioning. Am I wrong to be upset that I almost got written up because of my severe depression? I’m just angry. Also, has anyone used their job’s short term disability for a few weeks? Was it easy to do? I did it once for the psych ward but nervous about doing it again so soon.
