Worried that depression has made my ex boyfriend really delusional
Post Body

We dated for almost 2 years and every time he had an episode he took ā€Ŗiļøt ā€¬out on the relationship.

Iā€™ve been more than patient with him, supportive, and very active in his mental health trying to be a better partner for him.

Recently I found out he was entertaining someone from his past and I left him shortly after that.

Before we even got to that point he would say things like ā€œI donā€™t need youā€ ..... ā€œYou donā€™t have to hear or see from me again I donā€™t careā€ ..... ā€œWe can go back to being strangers again I donā€™t careā€ after my attempts to help him feel better or basically telling him how his actions affect the relationship or my feelings.

So Iā€™m wondering if this is common with depression and what exactly do you think your partner should do in this situation? Because my feelings are deeply hurt right now knowing I did everything I couldā€™ve to help. I feel like heā€™s guilt tripping me to an extent but too delusional to even realize where he messed up
