Iām 17, and Iāve had friends, and a girlfriend at one point, but I have high functioning autism and depression. For a majority of my life Iāve felt like not only do people hate me, but Iām just careless when it comes to people. Like sometimes people will say āhey, I did this today, what do you thinkā? And Iāll respond with something that seems normal, but in reality I honestly donāt care. Itās nkt that I donāt care about the person, I just donāt care about their situation, because I already have my issues to handle. I remember when me and my girlfriend were together, of course I cared about her a ton, but when it came to her actually telling me about her issues, I honestly wouldnāt care. I looked this up one time, and found that this can be a common issue with autistic teenagers. Does anyone else feel the same?
