Any fellow autism people feel careless about other people?
Post Body

Iā€™m 17, and Iā€™ve had friends, and a girlfriend at one point, but I have high functioning autism and depression. For a majority of my life Iā€™ve felt like not only do people hate me, but Iā€™m just careless when it comes to people. Like sometimes people will say ā€œhey, I did this today, what do you thinkā€? And Iā€™ll respond with something that seems normal, but in reality I honestly donā€™t care. Itā€™s nkt that I donā€™t care about the person, I just donā€™t care about their situation, because I already have my issues to handle. I remember when me and my girlfriend were together, of course I cared about her a ton, but when it came to her actually telling me about her issues, I honestly wouldnā€™t care. I looked this up one time, and found that this can be a common issue with autistic teenagers. Does anyone else feel the same?
