First time making a thread on Reddit, let me know if I did not follow any rules.
My friend that had depression for at least 5 years just recently told me about his visions brought on by his depression.
These visions included seeing a face appear in front of him while watching a movie. The face appeared closer to him than the screen so he knew it was not part of the movie. His father was also present and did not see the image.
The other hallucination he had was during his sleep. His vision included a demon-like figure that was hovering above him and his body was jerking up and down rapidly. A very supernatural seeming experience by his description.
I recently heard of someone's daughter that had depression related to her auto-immune disorder and she had visions of her family members faces transforming into scarier faces.
I had pretty severe depression for about 6 years but never had any sort of hallucinations. I had worries that included me thinking I may hallucinate but never did.
How common are these types of visions? Has anyone figured a way to get them to stop or at least help them?
