I lot of people recommend exercise for dealing with depression. I've found that it's been pretty good to me.
But the positive effects are temporary. I feel like I need at least 2 hours of intense, vigorous exercise every other day, or I feel like absolute garbage.
That time makes me feel good in the short term, but I find myself opting for exercise over doing things that will get me out of this pit: going to class, studying, applying for jobs, seeing friends.
This probably comes off as immature ("of course you need to exercise regularly idiot, deal with it") but I hate how it's just become another part of my ineffective routine.
