How long did it take for you to get on a medication regimen that made any sort of difference?
Post Body

Hi guys, I'm a chronic depression sufferer who is currently in a huge flare-up. I'm currently on a leave of absence from work due to my symptoms and anxiety. I am seeing a therapist and working with my doctor to get on some meds that will help.

Here's my issue, I'm due to go back to work Dec 1 after having all of November off, but I feel no different than I did at the beginning of the month. I was prescribed Fluoextine, and have already had it bumped up to 40mg, but no noticeable difference. I was also prescribed Trazadone to help me sleep which was a nightmare (super bad side effects). I'm concerned about going back to work without feeling different, I still feel like I'm trapped under a heavy blanket all day everyday.

I'm also having a rough time getting anything done, from dishes to laundry to showering (as gross as that sounds) and reconciling that I'm depressed and not just lazy.

So after all this long winded stuff, my question: How long did it take for your medicine to make a difference? How many changes had to be made before you found something that worked?

Thanks in advance.
