Dealing with parents when depressed
Post Body

Hi all - does anyone have advice on dealing with parents when you're going through depression? I'm early stages of mine, just went onto meds on Monday so still waiting for them to kick in.

In the meantime, it's killing my Mum and step-dad seeing me this way. I've admitted to my Mum that I'm currently suicidal and don't see a future that includes me; they've put various things in place (making sure I can't get anything sharp etc) for the moment, but what can I do for *them*? I know its a strange one when I should be focusing on myself, but watching how its impacting them is absolutely killing me right now.

How did you approach it with your parents?
