Hello all this may be a long read.

Any way for a bit of context. I'm 33, and I have pcos had trouble with hormones and some other health stuff all do to Genetics and hitting puberty. Yay. So overall health problems = problems with my teeth now.

Anyway, due to genetics, my bone density is all but gone. The only thing holding my teeth in at this point is my gums. My gums have also always had problems no matter what I did. Some of my teeth are missing, and my front one is close to falling out. I knew when I went to see a dentist for the first time in forever. I knew it was going to be bad but not have all my teeth removed bad. Idk how I feel I go back and forth between denial and acceptance that it's happening, and I know I have to do this to be healthier.

But I'm scared of how this is going to affect me and how my body is going to change. I know they are just teeth, and they're far from perfect, but they are my teeth. I have looked online somewhat. But I'm a foodie, and im worried this will change what I can and can't eat. My ability to sing. I'm not any good at it or anything not going to win American idol or anything but I can't picture my life with put the ability to sing when I'm cleaning or in the car or shower. I'm scared of how the will affect my self-confidence and the way I look at myself mentally. How it will affect my ability to give my husband a bj or just the way I feel about myself during sex. ( My husband has been amazing, love, and supportive. By the way, talking it through with me and being so loving giving me all the hugs)

I mean, I'd never be hard on or judg some eals I love that need this to make their lives better id give them all the love and support they may need, so idk why in so hard on myself. Maybe it's the change of it all that makes me so scared. I'm scared of how I'm going to fall when I look in the mirror and see all my teeth gone for a month or more. I'm scared of going out of the house with no teeth in my mouth it makes me want to hide. Luckily, I work as my mom's caregiver, so I know my mom loves me no matter what. But

I guess I'm just scared and a little sad and nervous and worried.

So I guess in my long weird rant that's a bit all over the place. I'm asking how you felt at that start of your journey. How did you come to a place of peace with the upcoming change to your body. How did it affect your overall seld confidence and the way you look at your self. Give me some love, give me your it's OK and it's going to get better stories... give me some light at the end of the tunnel and some hope.
