Iāve been home for a little over an hour. 28 extractions, 15 complex. I was given halcion to do a āconscious sedationā and I felt absolutely none of that sedative. Still, I was there, and somehow I told them to go ahead. Just numb me up and Iāll take as much as I can in one go. They gave me a 30 or so minute break after the tops were out. It went so fast! Even being awake..it felt like barely any time.
After being told I would get pain meds and antibiotics, I got just antibiotics called in. So Iām sticking with ibuprofen and Tylenol. Something about other meds I take maybe interacting with pain pills. Idk. Iām kinda bummed, but actually was planning to try to go without them anyway. I at least wanted the option.
I already feel sore spots in the bottom denture. Ugh. As far as pain goes, Iām actually okay. Ask me again in a few days. Lol. Still bleeding but nothing crazy. My blood pressure ended up being pretty high and we debated what to do for a while. We went ahead, and Iām glad we did.
Itās over. The hard part is over. Now I face a new set of challenges, and bring it on, for real.
This sub really helped me know what to expect. I stayed calm because of all of your stories. The ONLY thing I experienced that I didnāt see mentioned here is the smell of the teeth coming out. Like omg. That was so weird.
Iām happy to answer any questions anyone might have. If this agoraphobic, panic attack having baby can do this, YOU CAN DO THIS!
