Greetings all. I am a member of the Blood and Iron party, and in the upcoming vote to decide what civilization we will play, we want you to choose Arabia.
But why choose Arabia? Well, I'm glad you asked. Here are a list of reasons we should pick Arabia:
CAMEL ARCHERS
In the sixteenth century, Arabian alchemists, inspired by the ancient developments of the Huns in turning air into horses, discovered how to turn horses into camels, which was a vast improvement in every way.
Much like horses, camels are fast and easy to manoeuvre, but come with the significant advantage that they are mathematical geniuses. This allows them to inform their rider on where to aim a bow to maximise their damage potential.
As a result of this, while most civilizations battle with the inferior knights, the Arabians fight with camel archers, a unit that dominates its era and stays relevant well into the 20th century.
BAZAARS
Members of the Unity Party have informed me that the useless period between wars, apparently referred to as "peace," can actually be used to our advantage. Bazaars allow us to go against the laws of thermodynamics and summon duplicate copies of our luxuries, which other civilizations will happily take off our hands in return for money, or other luxury resources.
But even when we are at war, bazaars remain useful. Compared to the market most civilizations use, the bazaar grants 1 gold (later amplified into more-than-one gold due to banks etc.) and allows us to extract additional gold from oasis-es and oil. This gold can buy useful things, like camel archers, and additional bazaars.
IMPROVED CARAVANS
Arabian caravans can travel to cities further away than those of other nations. Science has searched for a reason as to why Arabian caravans can travel so far, but no answers have been found. Regardless, the extended range allows our merchants to look for better deals in far away lands, which grants more gold, which, as explained before, we can spend on useful things.
In addition, Arabian caravans are much more effective at spreading religion. While we at the Blood and Iron party do not see this as being too useful, I'm sure the Cultist Party will see this as being a very useful ability.
MORE OIL
It has been the quest of most civilized nations for many a year to obtain more oil. This is because oil is a very useful resource. Many modern technologies, such as cars, tanks, aeroplanes, and boats, are made out of oil.
Unlike most civilized nations, however, Arabia need not search far and wide to find more oil, as they have twice as much oil as everyone else by default. This means we can build twice as many cars, tanks, aeroplanes, and boats, which is very useful indeed.
FLEXIBILITY AND POWER
Arabia is powerful, and it is flexible. Between bazaars and its improved caravans, Arabia has significant advantages even if you insist on playing the game incorrectly, and if you choose to go to war, camel archers allow them to effortlessly destroy nations. Arabia has tools which will help us no matter which party you are, and which strategy you want to use.
I hope my explanations help you make the right choice come the voting season.
tl;dr: vote arabia because camels
tl;dr2: camel
